Ok, my birthday is coming up on wednesday, but I'm going to celebrate with a dinner on friday.

The plan is currently at the Foundation for veggie nachos/beer and other food at 7:00. Everyone who reads this thing is invited, and I'll try and get ahold of people individually in the next day or two.

My roommate Kristina is moving back to toronto on Dec 15th, which is kind of sad, it is fun having her here even if we see each other kind of rarely. But that means that I don't have anyone to live here from the 15th on, and I really need to find someone. The place is nice, faux hardwood and tiled, a little small but cozy. Nanowrimo (http://www.nanowrimo.org) starts in three days, and its going to be crazy trying to write this and do school papers at the same time (though thats how so many other people do it, so I'm going to try). Two more movies:
Netto - was fucking hilarious, very understated humor, with characters who can't communicate at all (reminds me of happiness, or welcome to the dollhouse but much lighter).

The Devil's Miner - Didn't care too much for it, the split between the worlds of inside and outside the mountain is kind of interesting

I just saw Dear Wendy, and I have to say it's one of my favoirte films so far. It's a romance with guns on a level thats totally different from american representations of gun-love. The characters have a very personal relationship with their weapons, for the personallities they have and their histories and seemingly as an antithesis to their deadly ( Read more... )
