Nanowrimo (http://www.nanowrimo.org) starts in three days, and its going to be crazy trying to write this and do school papers at the same time (though thats how so many other people do it, so I'm going to try). I would heartily recommend it to anyone who's interested, and it would be fun having someone else I know doing it.
I usually try and write something semi-serious for these things, it's going to come off cheesy, but I don't want to write something thats a cheesy comedy. To use some bad advertising lingo, I'm going to try and write something like Dogville meets Pi. I'm looking forward to november :)
