As of today, I've had Maia longer than I had Jeffrey. Fortunately for me, she has always been quite healthy, so hopefully we'll have many more years together. :)

Maia's birthday present was a new rope scratcher, but I gave it to her way early (to keep the girls distracted when I was away for the long 4th of July weekend). I've had pictures to post since before I visited febobe, but I don't always like dealing with LJ in uploading and posting and everything... so now I have even more to post, and I've waited long enough that I can claim this post is in honor of Hana's two-month anniversary yesterday. ;-)

Today being the last day of vacation before returning to the daily grind = not so awesome. :-p

But I had a lovely week with febobe! Nice and low-key... just what I needed to recharge a bit and try to coax the hamster muses out of hibernation. :) Did some reading (both books and fic), some cross-stitch, even a bit of writing... plus we went out and did ( Read more... )

So our new kitty is doing pretty well. She and Maia are still rather uncertain around each other, but this morning they got close enough to touch noses, even, so Maia is at least willing to acknowledge she exists. ;) Given time, they'll work things out; it's not happening as quick as with Abby, I think, because the new girl is younger and more ( Read more... )
