Thanks to tzikeh, I'm up to ep.12 of the first season of "Eureka" and it's Just. So. Fun. We're on "Purple Haze," the ep where everyone is losing it and being all weird. Funny funny. The school has been doing a great job putting in all the needed stuff to get Ben's aide (still not there--blerg) and the sp.ed. dept. of the district has approved it so, any day now, they should have a position number and be able to get someone in the room with him. The kids started school. I get to drive them every day and am loving that (two whole days so far..."morning" hasn't really set in all the way, I don't think). Three more responses. One more rejection (not selected in computer lottery). Two acceptances, one for a math/science academy that's far away, and one that's our first choice just down the street. Woo!

SUCH a weird thing.

( Article I wrote for our school newspaper in response to a badly-done one by a student in last month's issue; the student clearly was so freaked by the issue of self-harm that the article turned into 'Just DON'T already!' instead of having real compassion or helpful rather than stressing responses. )
