Ben, school
The day after I posted my recent update on Ben's aide, I got to meet the woman, who turns out to be someone I quite like and have known since the beginning of school. She knows and likes Ben and is very excited to work with him.
She took in her paperwork Wednesday morning and gave them ANOTHER copy of the paper they said they needed. So, since the school believes everything is in and will fight to prove it, Miss Jane has been in Ben's room every day this week and is loving it.
And, true to my prediction, he's not becoming dependent on her, but, rather, with someone to answer to, is working BETTER because he has someone to PROVE he can "do it by himself" to.
So he has an aide...now for hoping that the bureaucracy actually PAYS her and doesn't set up more roadblocks. Week eight: first week with aide.
