[The voice is calm and slightly high and breathy by nature.]

I'm very interested in this. I've offered my services as a substitute teacher, so if I can be of any help to the students, too, please let me know. However, I think it would have been better if the president's position was also filled by vote.

I'm glad to hear that. [A pause.] I share your opinion, but you would have to convince Oak of this.

I apologize; I'm butting in where I shouldn't. [This is her tactful way of, now that her concern has been voiced, backing off and letting them handle it for themselves.]

I think your greatest challenge will be maintaining this type of organization as people arrive and leave.

It's all right. You have a right to voice out your concerns.

Yes, it's quite a difficult task, but I'm confident that I'll be able to handle it.

[ HA HA i got my way. but shuri, for once, sounds very serious and professional.

you may never hear him sound like this again. ]

I believe that the addition of a Student Council will encourage students to participate more in school functions. It will provide the chance for them to make stronger bonds through activities encouraging education in other worlds, magic, and even life in Luceti itself.

I hope to see a strong show of support from our fellow students, so that we can move forward in this endevour together and make it a success.

[Aww yeah Mitsuru approves.]

Of course, the presence of a Student Council means we can organize more of these school functions. Aside from making the Luceti education experience a smoother and more pleasant one, it will also enrich the students' knowledge of, as you've said, other worlds and different cultures.

Agreed. [so serious sob] It will take a lot of hard work, but I believe we can manage it.

Shouldn't there be an election so we can pick which one of you guys are more popular and make more convincing speeches?

[Come on, it's how it worked in Bayville!]

In the first year it's vital to have experienced and capable leaders, not the most popular ones. [ though he thinks he'd win anyway. ] As its founders, it's our duty to keep the organization running smoothly.

Only as long as you get us those longer lunch breaks. Every student president has to promise that.

Longer lunch breaks? [ the academy would never stand for that. ] Can't people eat in the hour they're given?

Maybe you should choose yourself who would be a candidate and for what position based on your experience and knowledge. Otherwise it would be pretty much the same problem as having the President elected, and you both will need a good team if you want this to work.

It's best to let the student body elect people they believe are most suited for the roles.

But that doesn't apply to the President position because it would be more about popularity than about who's truly more capable, right? Doesn't that mean that you don't care to be in a Student Council filled with people who are just popular but don't care nor are any good at their positions? I can't think a Student Council like that would be very effective.

It's more than that. I... Ehhh...

If Student Council is filled with only people that the Presidents want, then the people would be unhappy. [ even shuri admits that there's a flaw in just picking people they want. ] We'll approach people best suited. Ah! And, we don't know everyone in the school, so it would be impossible for us to find the people best suited on our own! [ ... and a lot of work. ]

It's totally natural! People were still talking about your speech at the beginning of the year when the year was ending, you know! There was this one girl always hanging on the second floor, too... I'm with Minato too. If you need any help, we'll both be here!
