LJ front page is the same icon for me as well. Um, hack?
Anyway back to work. Boss has returned to the crazy zone and wants his report now! Picture a 50 year old molecular biologist throwing a breath holding tantrum and you've got my boss.
Yeah, this episode of True Blood RAWKED! Best one ever, I think.
Lafayette was BAD ASS. Digging a pin out of the dismembered guy's leg to free himself? That's just too wicked for words! I hope they DO make him a vampire, 'cause Bad Ass Vampire Lafayette would be so cool! (And he's already outlived his novel self....)
I really like Jessica too. And Maryann (but Michelle Forbes is hot, hot, hot sex on a stick, so that's no surprise).
Will Bill kill Jessica's family? I don't know. I really don't. You'd think not for the reasons you mention, but...I don't know. On the other hand, maybe he'll just put the vampire mind whammy on them to forget this whole sordid incident. Maybe even make them pull up stakes (har har--stakes!) and leave town with no forwarding address so Jessica can't do this again.
Lafayette is the shit. and I was never so happy to see someone live as I was last week when they pulled Miss Jeanette out of the car. I hope they make him a vampire too. Mostly because I want to see him beat the shit out of Jason
( ... )
Yeah, Lafayette's a fun character. Which is why I kinda doubt they'll kill him off. If they were gonna do that, they could have had him be the body in Andy's car like in the books. So--vampire? Possibly. Or Eric & company didn't drink as much blood as it looked like they were gonna.
I don't hate Jason. He's a lot more of a dimwit than in the books, though.
Yeah, my guess is Bill will just put the mind whammy on Jessica's family to forget what happened. And he's right to read Sookie the riot act. That was a seriously boneheaded play and could have gotten a lot of people killed.
I have no idea where they're going with Marianne either. A hot Hope? I remember her--Mel...something was the actress. Sorta. But way, way hotter.
Okay, so I don't HATE Jason. I hate his plot lines, I think. Right now they seem so disjointed and not in line with the rest of the show, but that's BS because he's in Dallas, and soon Sook and Eric will be going there.
You have yet to weight in on the question that is killing me: what is with Pam and Eric and those track suits? Why? OTOH, Pam's looking kinda scrumptious in blue velour.
I liked the episode, I hate Eric's short hair, I'm still freaked that Pam doesn't fit my mental image (for some reason, even though the books have her as a blonde, I've always thought of her with short, chin length black hair).
Lafayette was awesome, though I almost threw up at the leg bit. I also enjoy how they're doing more with Terry - he's a bit lost in the books.
Have you read the latest Sookie book? I'm waiting to see how the whole Jason story line and the rest of Sookie's new revelations will play out.
And yes, Jason's a dick, but at least he doesn't seem to be as malicious and self serving in the show (just stupid) as in the books.
Yeah, I actually think that Pam was pretty much like I pictured her in the books, except that they haven't put her in one of her J Crew knit sets.
Ah Lafayette. I LOVED the leg scene, because THAT is desperation, and I wanted to see it.
I have read the latest Sookie book, and I was kinda let down. Not as let down as I was about the latest Anita Blake book, which I am still slogging through. I feel asleep with it on my face last night. I remember when I used to stay up all night reading them. Now? It's like Ativan.
I really wish we could have the Jason werepanther plot line.

See I had to stop myself from actively looking for a download copy and wait for the hard copy I bought from Amazon. Once it arrived, I ripped it open and had the whole thing read in a matter of three hours. It was as gripping as some past ones, but, I think with the whole vamp marriage angle, the next book should be back on track with the original storyline again.
