Sunday morning we went into Chinatown for dim sum, which is where the wait staff brings you little plates of things to try until you tell them you're done.

Saturday, our plans included seeing the John Lennon exhibit at the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame Annex, doing sightseeing in the city, and going to a friend's party.

I'm back in Philly, and it seems small and quiet compared to New York. My husband, The Gryphon and I traveled to the Big Apple to spend time with a college buddy, The World Traveler, and attend a party held by Doc the Stampede.

On our final day in New York, we meant to get up early and go to Chinatown, but even though my internal alarm went off at 8:30, I kept hitting the invisible snooze and didn't actually wake until 9:15. I doubt the extra time would have made much difference, since My College Roommate and I had a train to catch at 2:30.

In part one of the New York adventures of My College Roommate, The World Traveler and me, I talked about our exploration of Central Park. As we left the park, we headed for the high-end shops on Fifth Avenue, which were decorated for the holiday season in extravagant fashion.
