When we argue about absurd political topics (birth certificates), and are not willing to unify and at least be somewhat cordial with each other, we're personifying the very things Osama was wishing upon the U.S.: turmoil and hostility against our fellow Americans.

I think people underestimate the effect that constant media debate on the lives of homosexuals has on people. The debate itself can prove to be detrimental, rather than positive, even if the debate is pro-equality.
