Wow! It has really been a long time since I updated. I thought I would make a photo post of today's early afternoon walk.

There is a small lake about ten minutes walk from our place. It is beautiful in every season, frozen in Winter, full of flowers in Spring, red and golden in Autumn (my favourite), and this is how it looks now:

Last Friday I went to talk to Santi's teacher. I wanted to know if he had been fighting at school or having problems with other kids that could somehow have lead on to "the incident". To my relief his teacher says that, although Santi sometimes gets into arguments, he is not an aggressive child and they don't recall him ever playing or talking ( Read more... )

The WPC in charge of Santi's incident came round yesterday evening. She told me that she had been round to the kid's house and talked to him and his parents. The kid admitted doing it, his reason being that he thought Santi had had an argument with his brother at school (a case of mistaken identity anyway). A WPC came by yesterday morning. She talked to us and took Santi's statement. She also had a look at the bumps and bruises. She said she would go to the school today to find out this kid's address (as Santi recognized him as the brother of somebody at his school) and then they'll go and talk to him and his parents ( Read more... )

This afternoon, my son(10) went to the park as he often does. When he was there some young teenagers (around 14), for no apparent reason, pushed him off his bike and one of them punched him and kicked him on the testicles and legs while the others cheered from the side, then they ran away when somebody came close.
