Update on Santi's incident
A WPC came by yesterday morning. She talked to us and took Santi's statement. She also had a look at the bumps and bruises. She said she would go to the school today to find out this kid's address (as Santi recognized him as the brother of somebody at his school) and then they'll go and talk to him and his parents.
I told her that, if this was a one-off thing, I wouldn't press charges as I don't want a 14 year old to have a criminal record for being stupid once but, if this has happened before, I'll take the issue all the way to court. The only problem, according to the WPC, is that if the kid denies having done it, we would be going nowhere as it would be Santi's word against his. Anyway, she said they would keep me updated about any developments.
