Wowowow! This place doesn't even look finished!

[Mireille takes a few cautious steps, gripping her staff tightly. Somehow, the fact that there were no monsters was even more unnerving. After all, that meant that something was wrong. And where something was wrong...]

Helloooo? Is anybody out there?

[ Have this witch come out of nowhere with a Gun Steel gripped in one hand, resting on her shoulder. ]

Seems I'm not the only one who's landed in this rather... dismal area.

Doesn't seem like there's anything of interest or value here apart from the dreadful decor.

[She's startled for all of about a second, since she wasn't necessarily expecting someone to answer her.]

Awww. I just wanted to go do some leveling, and the field turns out to be broken!

But it's strange... Does this normally happen here?

Well, I certainly wouldn't know as I haven't really been here that long.

[ And her attention is caught by a sound off in the distance for a fleeting moment which she shrugs off. ]

I don't think we're alone...

Suzaku preferred going out to the fields when there was nothing happening. It was a good place to think and an even better place to avoid people, what with all the different keyword combinations that were available and the fact that the Theta Server was inaccessible by people who were lower that level 20. The result was a place where Suzaku can head off to think or blow off steam.

... It was hard to believe that he'd been doing this for a year now.

But this was definitely different. A cloudy night sky with what looked like a massive dragon statue floating in the middle of it. The field consisting of only a stone path leading down to a set of pillars and an impressive temple behind it. Suzaku couldn't remember ever seeing a field as elaborate or as forlorn as this one.

"What a strange field this is..."

It looked familiar. Way too familiar. All those times with Haseo...

It was hard to miss that helmet, with the way it caught the hidden moon's light and reflected about. Easy enough to shove those memories to the back of his mind and smile again, raising a hand. "Zero! You're here too?"

'Zero' just turned his head to face the newcomer to this area. Wherever this area was, at least. Perhaps Silabus would have a better idea of where they were...

"I didn't think that inputting random keywords would land me in a place such as this. Where is this place, exactly?"

Because if the silence was any indication, it definitely wasn't a normal location. Though the music got repetitive every so often, the sheer lack of it was proving even more unsettling. The atmosphere didn't help with the unsettling aura either... What was the point of a field so devoid of monsters anyway?

"Well, to be completely honest, it shouldn't! I was heading for a sunny field area myself... I was in the middle of the lucky animal quest. This is a bit hard to explain, but um... This area is one of the Lost Grounds. They're supposedly cobbled together from the old version of The World and normal players shouldn't be able to access them, unless the moderators decide to use them for events... They're more like towns than field areas, if that makes sense. Only there's nothing you can really do in them; no monsters, no shops, no quests to complete ( ... )

[Upon entering the dungeon, Yuri took to just standing there with one hand on his hip and the other holding his sheathed sword. His attention is currently trained on the white tree in the middle of the lake.]

Huh. Well, it's not as pretty as Halure's but I guess it is a bit of a sight to see.

[standing at the water's edge, the pale color of the Harvest Cleric outfit he was wearing made Hakuren blend in with the background almost perfectly. But for the fact that his hair and the details on his outfit were gold, he could pass as one part of the scenery, he was standing so still next to the water's edge]

... Hm? [oh, when had someone else arrived?] 'Halure'?

[That almost startles him but Yuri manages to keep his cool; the closer he gets, it's easier to make out that the voice wasn't his imagination.]

A town from where I'm from. They have a pretty big tree there.

I see... [he smiles] This is the first time I've seen something like this. To be honest, it's a bit surprising.

To think that a place like this exists in The World.

It was supposed to be a simple excursion to kill a few creatures, possibly gain a little experience and let off some steam. Nothing fancy, nothing earth-shattering, just a casual bit of combat.

But since when was anything Kain tried to do in this mad place 'simple'?

The warp was jarring; warning number one.

The tiny area he found himself in -- a scrap of escarpment, a stony gate that seemed to be lacking some undefinable detail -- was warning number two.

Warily, Kain drew his blade as he began to scout his surroundings.

Behind him, another individual stumbled in through the Chaos Gate. Th flash of bright red should have been more than enough to give away who it was that made it to this Lost Ground. There was a soft curse - Richter hadn't been expecting such a change in scenery - before he straightened. There was another mutter under his breath when he noticed who else was sharing the area with him.

"..."

Richter's just so chatty around people he likes.

Kain doesn't even bother to hide the evil little smile before he offers Richter the tiniest of bows.

"We meet again."

"So we do. I haven't heard from you in a while..."

The red head brushed some hair out of his face before taking another look at their surroundings. This wasn't a field that he had been to before and it looked nothing like the incomplete fields that he, Kain and Albel had falling into that one time. Either this was an elaborate quest or-

"This place is too clean to be another 'system error'. What do you think?"
