[Mireille takes a few cautious steps, gripping her staff tightly. Somehow, the fact that there were no monsters was even more unnerving. After all, that meant that something was wrong. And where something was wrong...]

[ Have this witch come out of nowhere with a Gun Steel gripped in one hand, resting on her shoulder. ]

Seems I'm not the only one who's landed in this rather... dismal area.

Doesn't seem like there's anything of interest or value here apart from the dreadful decor.

[She's startled for all of about a second, since she wasn't necessarily expecting someone to answer her.]

Awww. I just wanted to go do some leveling, and the field turns out to be broken!

But it's strange... Does this normally happen here?

Well, I certainly wouldn't know as I haven't really been here that long.

[ And her attention is caught by a sound off in the distance for a fleeting moment which she shrugs off. ]

[Suddenly, a girl with ash-brown hair tied up in ponytails also appears in the place. Apparently, she was just warped here. She notices Mireille and the witch, and introduces herself.]

Hello~ I'm Maka, ermm do you know where I am?

[Before she could say anymore, the sound gets louder and louder.]

Something's coming... Let's be prepared for whatever is coming our way. I am hoping that, if it's a monster, we can co-operate?

We've all been victim to this sudden warping, it seems... Maka, was it?

[ casual ribbon toss over her shoulder as she begins to tap the Gun Steel against her heel. A small smirk curls on her lips as she glances off into the distance. ]

If you can keep up, dear, I'd be more than happy to accept your offer.

[The sound now stops. The wind blew eeriely through the trees and a Gun Giant (http://dothack.wikia.com/wiki/Gun_Giant) appears from them, growling fiercely.]

Errr... What's that huge thing with guns?! ... I'm not good against guns !! Eee... It's ok I can do this... I er CAN DO THIS!!

[Maka rushes towards the Gun Giant recklessly.]

Ahhh, sorry, been busy all day. We might as well just keep posting in order ^^;

[Before Mireille can so much as begin a spell, Maka goes running ahead. Wait what.]

Hey, watch out! If you rush ahead like that, you're going to be killed!

[Maka heeds Mireille's advice and also realizes that she had left her scythe near the witch and Mireille! She immediately runnss away from the stomping gun giant, that was gradually gaining on her.]
Oh SHIT helppp!!
[Mireille uses Rue Kruz and hits the gun giant, the gun giant seems to be a little affected by it and Maka manages to run back to where Mireille and the witch are, and picks up her scythe ont the ground, panting.]
Any plans..?

[ Oh, what she'd give for her Scarborough set back. With a sigh, she tosses a ribbon back over her shoulder and readies her Gun Steel. ]

I'd warned you to keep up, little one. Now then.

[ With that, she turns to the approaching Gun Giant. ]

Thankfully, he isn't one of those talkative types. Perhaps we should get straight to the point... and make this as pleasurable as possible for all involved, hm?

[ And faster than one can see, she hurtles herself up to higher ground, firing point blank at the Gun Giant. ]

Ugh, this would be so much easier if I didn't lose all my levels--!

[One hand on her hat, she swipes her staff and sends the wind spell flying at the Gun Giant. Ah, the joys of being an Adept Rogue.]

[Maka grabbed her scythe unsteadily. The scythe wasn't Soul, who would normally talk to her, and this made her quite uncertain of what she should do. She watched in awe and amazement as the witch and Mireille hit the Gun Giant one by one. Maka tries to get a hit while the Gun Giant was the distracted by the other attacks.]
Hyyaaahhh!
[Unfortunately, the Gun Giant noticed her and smacked her away like a small fly; Maka slams into a nearby tree.]
[Maka is a little demoralised that she couldn't hit the monster.]
Owww that hurts... Eh so how can I land a hit on that thing with my disadvantaged scythe ?

You're better off seeing what you can do rather than bloody complaining about it.

[ With a flash, the Gun Steel is dismissed and replaced with a pair of Spin Gai Gu. Indeed, it pays to be an adept rogue.]

Stay close and follow my lead. Better off trying to blindside it from both flanks while our little spellcaster friend causes us a diversion.

[ And she charges in, blades brandished. ]

LOL nevermind i say it can so it can XDD (can't continue on without mireille~ -waits patiently- )

[Maka reflects quickly on what the witch had said, indeed she was being such a whining baby; it wasn't like her at all. She had to get a grip or she wouldn't make it out of this battle alive. She didn't want to pull down the team either. From this moment on she had respected the wise young witch, and decided that she would become as strong as her. She remembered how she'd fight with Soul- how she'd fight with her friends.]
[And so she tightens her grip on her scythe; she is going to get stronger. She will get stronger.]

Sorry, friends, I know I'm a bother. And thanks for waking me up, I'm now ready to fight properly.

[She watches as a tornado was formed and it hit the gun giant. The gun giant was probably annoyed by the attack and was now roaring more loudly then ever. At least this wasn't as bad as Black Star hollering, mostly on top of somewhere, 'I am the Black Star! I'm the only one who is going to exceed God one day!'. She charges and aims at the gun giant's legs, planning to knock the gun giant of balance.]
