The compound now has two dogs and two cats. We have been reunited with Shamrock, the giant golden retriever (long story why we are 'reunited'). He is a sweetheart, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He also likes to eat blankets when nobody is around. I have acquired a bike! Well, rather, a bike has been acquired for me as a birthday present. It's an awesome Trek 7100, and his name is Virgil. Yeah, yeah, all the 'going to Hell' jokes have been said. Funny enough, that's not why he is called Virgil. Hurricane Earl approacheth. We will most likely have no power again. The bad news is that we have a cable guy coming in on Thursday to set up service, so I hope if the hurricane hits, it hits after that, otherwise I will have to wrestle with incompetent Verizon people again (the Verizon epic quest has been going on for a month now). -
