My life is quickly approaching critical mass this week. My first client today was an older woman, maybe five years or so older than my mom. When I started to do my standard "Anything in particular bothering you today?" spiel, she told me that two weeks ago, she'd lost her son. Still deaf.

I've been using the vinegar/water/hydrogen peroxide wash for a few days. Like the wax stuff, it seems to help briefly, then the clogging returns. Today, on the advice of the internet and the pharmacist at Vons, I picked up their generic version of Mucinex sinus decongestant. Took one about forty-five minutes ago, and now my ear hurts.
