Buuuuusy busy busy.
I think Friday 2/18 was my last free day. Fortunately I used it efficiently, because I've barely had time to breathe since!

Today's shoot was supposed to be "probably a short one." Instead it turned out to be twelve hours on my feet listening to dull music and waving my arms in the air. My limbs and back are killing me. Er, yay smoking? ^^;;; I had plans to go to a voiceover networking event this evening, and I was going to visit the post office too, but obviously it wasn't meant to be. I also have filled up my gas tank four times in the past week. Eesh! The nice thing is that even though tomorrow is long, I don't have to get up as early on Storytime mornings as on class mornings. Nothing scheduled for Wednesday as of yet, though I'm hoping to get another booking, since we suddenly seem to have gone from zero to busy again. Thursday is my Deep Tissue final exam, and clinic hours in the evening.
And on Friday night, baby sister Mouse is coming! She's staying for a week. I can't wait. ♥ That does mean that I have to get the house cleaned more thoroughly (and wash the puppy) sometime between now and then. But I don't mind. Mouse is coming to visit! I promised her sun, so I was super relieved yesterday when the clouds finally parted and the rain stopped. Hoping hard that it stays California-y as long as she's here; we have plans to hike in Joshua Tree and go to the beach!
More good: Someone actually ordered one of my travel charger cases from
my etsy store! (Which is one reason I need to visit the post office.
tokoz's late birthday present is another one.) And remember the job I was supposed to have that was supposed to maybe get me my final SAG voucher? I've called and called them and gotten a variety of excuses for why they haven't used me yet, and left messages, and so on. The other day I spoke with the head of the casting service. Production has just headed out to Washington, D.C., for a couple of weeks. But he thanked me for keeping in touch and he promised that either he would get me on it (with union voucher) when it came back, or he would get me on the new Captain America film (with union voucher), which they are also doing background casting for, or he would at the very least arrange to get me paid for a day of work. Which wouldn't be a voucher, but it would be something. He seemed sincere when he said that they owe me, and I kinda feel like they do, so I continue to hope that something good will come of that.
Anyway. Sunshine! And I'm tired! And going to bed! Tomorrow in class I will definitely have to offer someone a shiny nickel if they'll work on my back for me. I just hope my arms still function when I wake up. ^^;
