On Saturday, I had to wake up earlier then usually to go over my parents.  They had an appointment with a woman that would talk about final arrangements insurance.  Not a very pleasant topic but I guess an important one for people my parents’ age.  I think it is too early but they choose to do it now.

Yesterday, I spent pretty much all day at my parents’ house with the kids.  It was the day of my niece’s (9) departure back to CA.  All day my mom was cooking and having guests over.  Her flight was at around 9pm.   My niece made all 4 of her grandparents go to the airport with her.  My parents asked me to go with just in case if they wouldn’t ( Read more... )

It was a nice weekend with the family.  On Saturday night, we all went to the new restaurant Baku to celebrate World War II Victory Day and Mother’s Day.  The restaurant is pretty small and was packed with people.  There was one big party of people from Georgia, our two large tables that fit ten people each and one small table with a family of four ( Read more... )

This weekend I spent with the kids, while Boris was trying to finish his work for the week that we will be out of town. Michael had a friend over all day on Saturday.  He was supposed to stay overnight but changed his mind when went to bed, so I drove him home.  Boys played well while I was hanging out with Michelle.

On Thursday, I attended Rav Simcha Weinberg lecture titled “A Husband’s Obligations to his Wife: What a Woman Needs to Know.”  The event took place in St Louis Park at beautiful, newly remodeled home of one family.  There were a lot of women; some of them were Orthodox wearing long skirts, wigs or hats to cover their hair.  Some, very few, were ( Read more... )

All day I stayed in pajamas with Michelle at home while Boris was out with Mihska.  In the morning Mishka was at the synagogue and in the evening Boris took him cross country skiing in the park, 5 minutes drive from our house.
