На удивление себе, мы без особых планов решили смотаться в Чикаго на выходные. Наш экономичный гибрид Приус за 7 часов (с остановкой) довёз нас до наших друзей, которые живут в пригороде Чикаго (Огромное СПАСИБО за тёплый приём и гостеприимство!). Every 2nd Sunday of the month, MIA has a family day with various activities for the kids.  Every month they have a different theme.  I took kids to the three previous days and can't wait to go there in September.  What a wonderful place to spend time with kids, find interesting art pieces, make art and hangout together ( Read more... )

I had a wonderful day communicating with my friends.  In the morning I called my friend in Germany then my friend in Kiev and talked to several friends here.

On Sunday, we went to the Science museum to see that Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition.  My friend was supposed to go with her boyfriend and I talked Boris into going.  By the day we were supposed to go, her boyfriend changed his mind and Boris kept changing his mind.

Last Thursday, we went to the Oakwood elementary school in the evening to participate in their international night.  My friend Alina, as a mother of a student at that school, volunteered to represent Ukraine.
