Well, I did floor nursing for almost 2 months, then a job that really matches both of my career paths at work came up. I am now the RAI coordinator and it's my job to coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to make certain our residents get their quarterly assessments. Classes are over. Exams are over. Final marks are a Pass in Nursing Practice (pass/fail course), 86% in pharmacology, 92% in pathophysiology and 90% in Nursing theory. I now have 7 weeks (or 280 hours) of consolidation to do. Then I can write the provincial exam in September. I also have to write a Jurisprudence exam sometime between the end of ( Read more... )

It's been quite a while since I have had time to sit and go onto LJ. This summmer has been especially busy, working two jobs. I worked as a PSW at a LTC home. I really enjoyed it. I am hoping to go back next summer and work as a PSW until I write my nursing exam and then I hope to work there as a nurse. I really enjoyed the residents ( Read more... )

Our old appaloosa gelding died yesterday. He was around 44 years of age. It's really sad. We only have one horse left - and he's really upset. He's been calling out, screaming at the top of his head since Simon was taken from the barn yesterday. You can hear him crying all the way over to the farmhouse. I think I have just about hit my coping limit. I am still dealing with the school incident, and am dealing with Public Health iver a cat incident (Vanessa woke my two weeks ago by walking in my face and scratched my eyelid badly enough that I had to go to emerg, who reported it to ph) she has to be in quarantine until a health inspector come out ( Read more... )
