Grand Old Party they may have been, but their leadership fell off the sanity bus at least a decade ago. i'm still pissed that the washington state dems lost that case. fucking rossi. i mean, he's going to get in anyway, which terrifies me, but if he'd run as a republican at least it would have been close.

I've always thought it was kind of onomatopoeic. "Gop." Doesn't it sound like a sort of oozing mess that's accumulated on the bottom of the political barrel and needs to be scraped off?
