To be entirely honest, Kuro still didn't know what he was doing, hanging around this casino. His bandages were off, right arm mobile, and only the mildest ache remained. He most certainly wasn't going to stay here, this he knew - this Londo guy was kinda funny to talk to, and it was an easy way to find Killua anyway, but it wasn't his home.

Neither were the trees of this world, but then, their transient nature meant he was never once lulled into believing it either.

He smelled Ceil before he heard him (the boy moved quite competantly and quietly for one so young, like he knew better than to waste any movements), no longer sick but still with the faintly sweet undertone of illness layered beneath a rigidly clean scent. He had seen, of course, Ceil's message along the network about some sort of "toast" - city's gonna burn - for those who had left, but he hadn't really thought that it concerned him, and so he'd pushed it out of his mind ( ... )

It had been a while since he'd seen Kuro. Even longer since he'd seen him in person. He'd been gone by the time he'd woken up from his asthma-recovering slumber.

Kuro was.. odd. He didn't not like him, but he was certainly curious about the boy. Even if he were sort of.. like a cat. He didn't like cats, but Kuro was still a boy, so... At least to Ciel.

At the last moment, he caught the sound of a footstep, turning about to see the boy. And here you go, Kuro. Have a bright Ciel smile. It's sort of fake, but hey, he's trying right?

Kuro felt his whole body twitch once, uncontrollably, when Ceil turned to smile at him. There was something almost Shirou about that smile, and it wasn't the Shirou that spoke nonsense into disconnected telephone boxes, but the Shirou who talked about the night, and dying. He didn't like it.

"...hello." He finally said after a long stretch of silence. And then, haltingly, feeling out the words, "How... have you... been?"

He had no real experience starting conversations, honestly, and was more than a little lost. But at that picnic last week that had always been one of the first things anybody said to him, so he figured it was a good direction to go in.

Ciel didn't notice.

But the smile faded into a more realistic, albeit smaller, smile as the boy spoke. It was cute.

"Hello. I have been well, thank you. No more asthma attacks, if you're curious."

Asuna wandered onto the scene. She hadn't been in this world long and yet she had lost two friends already- Tails and Gojyo. She knew others had lost far more but those two were enough. Their loss reminded her that she could easily loose even more.

Additionally, this gave her a chance to interact with this kid, Ciel. She was suspicious and whenever she felt that way it usually meant there was trouble lurking.

Asuna might have the right idea! Ciel was relatively harmless for the most part, but... Well. We'll have to wait and see.

Still. Ciel knew who Asuna was via Negi, and her... 'old' self, so to speak. So if she did come up to say hello, he would be polite and timely.

The young red head took in the group of people. She recognized most of the people there but then there were others who were strangers. And then... she saw him- the young man she had seen in the pages of the comic. This was the boy Negi was involved with. With a purposeful bounce in her step Asuna made a beeline for Ciel.

He looked normal enough and at least he wasn't wearing a corset- that she knew of. "Are you Ciel?" She had never been one to beat around the bush.

He blinked a little, at her forwardness. He had forcibly forgotten about such a horrible event as his personal affairs being posted Adstring-wide on the network...

So he wasn't quite worried just yet.

"I am indeed. May I help you?"

Kotarou was no stranger to people dying or getting hurt. He was no stranger to goodbyes, but it was always a nasty shock when he realized he wouldn't be seeing someone he really liked anymore.

He'd taken a liking to Ginia almost instantly. She filled the void left by Natsumi, Chizuru and the other girls -- it was like having a sister, a mother, a comrade. And... well... to hear that she was gone... it hurt. Not that he'd admit that.

He wasn't here because it hurt, though. He was here to say goodbye, to honor someone who'd made him smile, and made this place feel a little more like home.

The little bell tinkled as Kotarou made his way inside, and he idly reached out to straighten a cloth that had ridden up in a corner. Maybe it'd look like he trailed Negi in. He didn't go over to talk to anyone, but for once his expression was a little serious.

Haseo knew what loss means. Alkaid, Shino, Ovan... He lost them all. But still, he can't deny that fate was better on him than most others - at least, they only 'died' online. They can still "try again" everytime they meet the "Game Over" screen. Sure, they ended up being Lost Ones, but they were at least still alive. Haseo could still rescue them. However, that didn't mean he was used to it. He will never be. He felt so helpless, not being able to save them, and he felt so frustrated, not knowing why does it have to be them ( ... )

The greyish ears perked upright, and Kotarou tilted his head back towards the unfamiliar voice, turning around suddenly. Haseo managed to catch his face a little softened, a little innocent, a little lost, before it regained its customary hardness around the eyes and mouth that if he were human, would mean wrinkles in later years.

"Hey." The transformation was hard to catch for someone who wasn't looking for it, but the fact still remained that Haseo had caught half a second of vulnerability, and Kotarou didn't know it.

"Who're ya here for?" he asked, his voice a little gruffer than he meant it to be.

Haseo was slightly amused, to be honest - this kid was trying to hide his grief, or something. He didn't show any sign of this, though, knowing that this guy might end up irritated at that.

"Ginia. She taught me. And you?

Sebastian had been dressed in his usual attire, but for once it was awkward. Not being told by his young master to do the attending of handing out the champagne or garnishing up certain things. Perhaps it was the fact that not many people in Adstringendum found him the most 'faithful' of people nowadays. Or perhaps it was merely because Ciel wanted to do something on his own for once and was learning the basics of what the real world was like.

When Ciel stepped into the kitchen, Sebastian was propped up against the fridge, a glass of champagne in hand though he didn't seem to be too interested in actually drinking it as he merely was swishing it around and around. "Quite the turn out, young master. Are you sure you do not want me to assist you?"

Londo eyed the newcomer in the kitchen and nodded to him once. He hadn't talked to this one before. "You are a formal one. This much, though I know nothing else of you, I can respect. I am Londo Mollari, Ambassador of the Centauri Republic, and this is my casino. You are welcome here, yes?"

He held a bottle up, in case the newcomer wanted a refill, though it didn't seem like he was drinking much. A shame, drink was, after all, made to be drunk.

Sebastian's eyes darted up from the glass of champagne at the unfamiliar voice. Removing himself from leaning against the counter, the butler gave off a formal bow and nod. "Aw, so this is Mr. Mollari. A pleasure, sir.

My name is Sebastian, butler to the Phantomhive Family and more directly the young Earl; Ciel Phantomhive."

A smile draped over his lips and shook his head at the topper; He merely had the glass of champagne for formality after all. "Quite the turnout for remembrance of people's friends and comrades."

Londo bowed back, just as formally. This was rare in the city, such a response. "Likewise, hm? Sebastian, is it? I have had a few family retainers in my time. You strike me as one who knows what he is doing."

With a nod, Londo set down the bottle. "This is a strange place. We know we will forget those we met here, but one does not want to miss out and be lonely, hm? And in the end, we make ourselves lonely when they leave. But still. I would not want to stop reaching out, no."

A lot of good people had left, with the span of days growing longer Ai began to doubt they'd ever return. If anything, hopefully they were happy back home. Alfons and Juke, what were they doing right now?

Making way to one of the chairs before sitting down Ai gave a nod to all the others with a smile on her face. Being around others...usually she was on her own unless it involved "working".

Londo brought over two glasses for her - one of cider and one of champagne. Age didn't matter to him; there was no drinking age for his people. "My dear girl, I am glad you have come. Which would you like? It does not affect me either way, no."

More guests to place host to! This must have been the girl Alphonse had spent so much time with. He recognized the bright clothes and pretty face.

Walking over, he held out a glass to her. Cider, not champagne. Anyone who looked under the age was automatically offered Cider. If they wanted alcohol, they could get it themselves.

"Good evening miss. I recommend not to be shy and enjoy the company we have tonight."
