Sebastian had been dressed in his usual attire, but for once it was awkward. Not being told by his young master to do the attending of handing out the champagne or garnishing up certain things. Perhaps it was the fact that not many people in Adstringendum found him the most 'faithful' of people nowadays. Or perhaps it was merely because Ciel wanted to do something on his own for once and was learning the basics of what the real world was like.

When Ciel stepped into the kitchen, Sebastian was propped up against the fridge, a glass of champagne in hand though he didn't seem to be too interested in actually drinking it as he merely was swishing it around and around. "Quite the turn out, young master. Are you sure you do not want me to assist you?"

Londo eyed the newcomer in the kitchen and nodded to him once. He hadn't talked to this one before. "You are a formal one. This much, though I know nothing else of you, I can respect. I am Londo Mollari, Ambassador of the Centauri Republic, and this is my casino. You are welcome here, yes?"

He held a bottle up, in case the newcomer wanted a refill, though it didn't seem like he was drinking much. A shame, drink was, after all, made to be drunk.

Sebastian's eyes darted up from the glass of champagne at the unfamiliar voice. Removing himself from leaning against the counter, the butler gave off a formal bow and nod. "Aw, so this is Mr. Mollari. A pleasure, sir.

My name is Sebastian, butler to the Phantomhive Family and more directly the young Earl; Ciel Phantomhive."

A smile draped over his lips and shook his head at the topper; He merely had the glass of champagne for formality after all. "Quite the turnout for remembrance of people's friends and comrades."

Londo bowed back, just as formally. This was rare in the city, such a response. "Likewise, hm? Sebastian, is it? I have had a few family retainers in my time. You strike me as one who knows what he is doing."

With a nod, Londo set down the bottle. "This is a strange place. We know we will forget those we met here, but one does not want to miss out and be lonely, hm? And in the end, we make ourselves lonely when they leave. But still. I would not want to stop reaching out, no."

Before Alphonse had noticed Sebastian's presence -- he'd popped into the kitchen, after all! -- he'd come into the room, looking back over his shoulder to call something about the tablecloths out to Ciel. He turned back around and froze, eyes widening for a moment. Well, this was awkward. They hadn't seen each other, hadn't spoken since Sebastian had left the house.

For a moment, Al's eyes glinted with the possibility of leaving the kitchen and pretending he hadn't seen him, but since he so obviously had, it was childish. There was a flush in his cheeks, a dead giveaway even if for someone not as observant as the butler.

"Uhm, excuse me," he said quietly, gesturing to the fridge behind Sebastian.

Well, well. This was a rather interesting turn of events; He didn't really expect the blond boy to show up here, but at the same time he had this eery sense that he would. No matter, he wouldn't make the situation awkward. Merely moving off the fridge, Sebastian gave off a formal move, his almost hurt frown over his face before he straightened himself up and set the glass of champagne on the nearby counter.

"There is no need to be so formal, Alphonse. The past is the past, I learned my mistakes and so have you."

Even if his mind was betraying him and merely making it up, Sebastian would be courteous. Indeed, he still didn't like the sour taste the boy left in his mouth and sure sometimes when he saw a post to the network with his face he felt like jumping in and trying to lighten the situation up like he did in the past. Though he knew he couldn't; No, he wouldn't. Sebastian had learned that humans were incapable of looking past beings morals, no matter what they did in the end.

Al hadn't wanted to see that hurt expression on his face. It tugged at his heart, made him want to make things better. The worst part was he was sure that he could if he tried, but that would be the wrong thing to do in the context of his health. The smile that touched just the edge of Al's lips looked a little delayed, a little shaky, and he leaned into the fridge to get away from those eyes.

Al lingered in the fridge a moment, two moments, a handful, until it became apparent he wasn't getting anything from it. He straightened up, closed the door, and tapped a fingernail on the handle once. He seemed to be deep in thought.

Hello, awkward silence.

"... I forgot what I was getting," he finally murmured, as he turned around, obviously annoyed with himself.

Alphonse's expression made it all the more worse; He just wanted to sigh and embrace him in a hug like he did back then to comfort the boy. It wasn't so much that he was hurt, it was the fact that he knew the blond still could feel at least something for him.

When Al merely tapped his fingers on the fridge door then spoke, a faint smile from memories past that he only showed the boy fell over his lips, merely turning towards the counter and picking up a platter of assorted appetizers and draped it in his hand towards the other for him to take. "Well, you wouldn't want to leave empty handed."

Al's eyes widened and he pointed towards the tray, the other hand lifting to smack his own forehead, looking astonished at himself. Fffff, that'd been what he was looking for. He'd just gotten so sidetracked by Sebastian being present that he...

"That's it!" he beamed back and reached up to carefully take it from him. "Thank, Sebastian!"

Giving off a formal bow as he usually did, Sebastian closed his eyes and merely let a hand settle amongst his chest and allowed the boy his happiness.

"A pleasure, Alphonse." That was all he would say, nothing more, nothing less; He didn't want to say anything he would regret. If either of them had anything to say it would be Alphonse anyways, he was the one who always brought up conversation. And if not? Well that would be fine as well.

Al clutched the tray, a little smile on his lips. Sebastian, it really was kind of you to be so sweet towards him.

"Thanks again," he said quietly, and quickly left the kitchen with a click of shoes.

Ciel had an empty platter tucked under his arm. Yes; he didn't usually enjoy it, but Londo had requested his assistance, and he didn't want to seem prudish as to just let Sebastian to the work for him.

After all, he knew how, just didn't do it often. So it wasn't so bad. At least it was a place he'd never been to before.

"You may assist if you want, Sebastian. Just try to keep it minute. ...And don't scold anyone. I am simply pleased to have so many people show up."

Pleased? That was a word his young master didn't use so easily. This must have been a very important occasion indeed. Letting his eyes close as he pushed himself off the fridge, Sebastian set down his glass of champagne once again and gave off a small shake of his head, followed by that sinister smile.

"Oh no, my lord. I wouldn't dare to do such a horrible thing."
