Hazel had decided to enjoy the beach at night. Sure he liked the sun and surf just as much as anyone, but he normally went to the beach at night back home. Especially as a child.

He was not wearing his usual robes, instead opting for a pair of cut away jean capri's and a short sleeved t-shirt. Hazel sat on the shore, allowing his feet to be gently washed by the lapping shore and simply enjoying the night.

There was a small sound coming from down the beach that caused Hazel to look up. Ah, it seems someone else was enjoying the beach at night....though his outfit did not seem to be one for the beach. He watched him curiously as the man continued to walk up the beach.

Even without the visor, Zephyr had quite excellent night vision, due to the genetic experiments performed on him. He spotted the man after a moment, focusing.

"Hello." He spoke, stopping a few feet away.

Hazel blinked and smiled slightly.
"Good Eve'ing."
Cicada came running up the beach from the opposite side of Hazel and quickly climbed onto Hazel's head, carrying an mango she had found and dropping it into his lap. Hazel chuckled and fished for his knife.
"It's a nice night out." He said conversationally to his beach companion. "My Name is Hazel Grouse." He proceeded to cut the mango in half and peel half to cube for cicada who has busy grooming his hair.

Zephyr smiled slightly, seeing the small creature. He had left Sliver at home, as he didn't want anything unexpected to happen to his pet.

"It is a magnificent night, indeed." He replied, before stating his name. "Zephyr Shadiene."

He'd spent most of the afternoon at the beach after Alphonse had dragged him there, but the desire to stay there and watch the sunset had been overpowering, and beyond that there was the silent invite of darkness.

Thinking time wasn't something he was in short supply of, but the sound of gentle waves crashing against the shore was eerily therapeutic, and it gave him the chance to really relax.

The way he was sat allowed the tide to envelop his feet at every wave, but he was far back enough that the water didn't reach the rest of him where he sat, although he was still in swimming trunks from much earlier - it wouldn't have mattered if it did.

Zephyr, padding along silently down the shoreline would have been hard to hear, unless one had been focusing on their surroundings. He spotted the man sitting at the shore's edge and slowed down, attempting to see if he was recognizable.

He stopped just a few yards away before speaking, looking out across the tide. "It's a magnificent sight, isn't it?"

He was caught off guard by the voice, and shot a look up in the direction of the words, and in a moment he decided that there was a minimal threat, and he slumped back against his palms, looking back out to the ocean with a soft sigh.

"It is." He responded simply, drawing his feet up slightly before returning his attention to the figure, squinting in the dark in an attempt to aid his sight.

Practically blending in with the night, Zephyr took a few steps closer before speaking again. "Apparently it's only a temporary thing, so might as well enjoy it while it lasts." He closed his eyes, smiling faintly at the sound of the waves lapping against the shoreline.

It was an odd feeling. Being at the beach. It wasn't something she did much of, if at all, in her world.

She relaxed a little as she walked along the shore where the waters just barely made their climb. The part of the sand was that firmer than the rest and made small footprints that faded like time. What was even more odd, was she didn't have her Innocence on. Her legs were bare for once with nothing but a soft white wrap covering them that was slung on her hip.

She still felt naked with the bikini top on, but strands of wavey black hair from the day of swimming were pulled over her shoulder in hopes of hiding just a little bit of naked skin. Other than the trivial discomforts, she seems rather happy.

It was a lovely night.

Zephyr was slightly impressed by the amount of activity he had seen along the shore, even during the night. So there were others who enjoyed the darkness as well. Different that what he had expected. Many feared it, rather than seeing the beauty of it.

He paused, seeing Rinali walking in his direction. He was still quite embarrassed after discovering what had happened after he was injured by the dragon, and was still not sure how to approach the topic. So, he would avoid it for now. He put on a faint smile as he decided to continue down the beach. "It's a wonderful night, isn't it?" He asked Rinali, pausing again to stare out at the newly formed ocean.

She heard a voice and instantly became hopeful, but when she recognized it for it not being who she thought, she was only minorly disappointed. Zephyr was still a close friend and though he confessed to her and seemed to of ignored it since, she believed that's where it would stay.

A small smile painted her lips and she waved over to him. "It is. I'm glad you decided to come out and experience it for yourself." She said before she turned to glance over the ocean's calm surface that brought back bittersweet memories of her time before she was swept away here.

She cleared her throat to try and ignore ghosts of the past and glanced back up at him. "Come for a swim?" she teased.

"I couldn't come out until the sun had at least partially set." He replied, tilting his head slightly. "It's not like I didn't want to check this all out, it's just that I had to wait." He smiled a bit more and shrugged.

At the mention of swimming, his smile changed to a slight smirk. "Sure." His hand went to a button on the control panel of his suit and then to a small pocket on his waist, revealing an interesting little device. "I'll beat you to the water." He stated, grinning as he popped the device into his mouth and shifted into the shadows.
