Hazel had decided to enjoy the beach at night. Sure he liked the sun and surf just as much as anyone, but he normally went to the beach at night back home. Especially as a child.

He was not wearing his usual robes, instead opting for a pair of cut away jean capri's and a short sleeved t-shirt. Hazel sat on the shore, allowing his feet to be gently washed by the lapping shore and simply enjoying the night.

There was a small sound coming from down the beach that caused Hazel to look up. Ah, it seems someone else was enjoying the beach at night....though his outfit did not seem to be one for the beach. He watched him curiously as the man continued to walk up the beach.

Even without the visor, Zephyr had quite excellent night vision, due to the genetic experiments performed on him. He spotted the man after a moment, focusing.

"Hello." He spoke, stopping a few feet away.

Hazel blinked and smiled slightly.
"Good Eve'ing."
Cicada came running up the beach from the opposite side of Hazel and quickly climbed onto Hazel's head, carrying an mango she had found and dropping it into his lap. Hazel chuckled and fished for his knife.
"It's a nice night out." He said conversationally to his beach companion. "My Name is Hazel Grouse." He proceeded to cut the mango in half and peel half to cube for cicada who has busy grooming his hair.

Zephyr smiled slightly, seeing the small creature. He had left Sliver at home, as he didn't want anything unexpected to happen to his pet.

"It is a magnificent night, indeed." He replied, before stating his name. "Zephyr Shadiene."

Hazel finished cubing the mango and handed some up to Cicada. Cicada cheerful started to eat it, effectively getting mango juice all in Hazel's hair. Hazel sighed but was smiling.
"Nice to meet you, Zephyr." He cut the other half of the mango in half after skinning it. He offered one half up to Zephyr. "Want some?"

Zephyr shook his head at the offer of food. "I'm fine, thank you. I had something to eat before I came out." He took a few more steps closer to the waves lapping at the shoreline, his shoes just barely touching the water.

"So what brings you out here?" He asked, curiously.

Hazel shrugged and bit into the Mango. It wasn't COMPLETELY ripe, but enough to still taste pretty good.
"Hmmm?" Hazel blinked at the question, half of the half of the mango still sticking out of his mouth as he handed Cicada another Cube of mango. He finished the bite then swallowed before answering Zephyr.
"Ah, Just enjoying the beach. At home I could only go to the beach at night, because I was busy most of the day. I don't mind it during the day, but at night I am more comfortable." Hazel said.

((ooc: Hazel will probably be coming out to the beach every night as well. :3))

"I see." Zephyr replied, before continuing. "I used to be able to go out anytime. But now, or at least for this event, it's much more comfortable during the night."

"I see." Hazel nodded slowly. "Y'don't like all the sunlight that this event is giving us then?" He shrugged himself then took another bit of mango, finishing off the half.
"Truth be told, I rarely got out myself..." Hazel mused. "Ah well, perhaps now I will." He chuckled. Cicada chittered at him and he handed her another Mango chunk. "My poor hair...It's going to be all sticky now." Hazel 'mourned' with a grin.

"There's too much sunlight." Zephyr stated, tilting his head. "Not to mention the cold is preferable. It's easier to adapt in."

"I would go out to the wastes and train, but apparently the wastes are gone for now."

"Oh? Well I'm not too partial t' cold myself, but yeah it's easier ta adapt to, for sure." Hazel leaned back a bit, causing Cicada to tangle her claws in his hair. "Ahowowow." He winced as her tiny claws pulled his hair. Finally she climbed down to sit in his lap.
"Th' Wastes? I've heard of them, but haven't seen them. Is this where they normally are?"

"Yes, the ocean now, was the Wastes before this started. It was loaded with deserts, swamps, monsters of every shape and size. The perfect place to hone one's skills." He smiled slightly, already having a trip planned for as soon as this ended.

"Indeed. I need to master my abilities to become stronger." He replied, his focus going back to his plans to find the Animus.

"Stronger huh?" Hazel looked at Zephyr. "Well If that's what you think you need, so be it." He laied back in the sand and Cicada crawled onto his chest, licking his face. He chuckled.

"It's not that I think I need it. I do need it." His gaze drifted out across the water, as if searching for something.
