I'm waiting to see if they will cancel school for Hillsborough County tomorrow. If they do, I've got a day off. I think they should, just to be safe... I had a very surreal experience last night. I was contacted by a freelance writer who often works with the Weekly Planet about doing an interview for a Halloween/Costume article she's working on. I rushed home from school... worried because Pugs had been alone to find her waiting at the front door for me. Tail wagging, on her feet. I opened the door and she lurched through the door towards the stairs! I think she would have tried going down them if I hadn't tackled her like a football player. So Pugs had a restful night in bed with me thanks to an extra dose of pain killers. Careena was sweet enough to get her little red wagon and bring it by and so Pugs has a safer means of transportation around the house. Now I don't have to carry her from bedroom to living to porch... Pugsley had a whole slew of blood tests and x-rays yesterday. What it came down to is she has severe hip dysplasia and arthritis. Now they aren't sure if a slipped disk is giving her trouble because her spine is fine. Both of the docs I spoke with said her hips are as bad as they've ever seen.
