The bamboozling of NCIS had been successful.  Lisa had played her role perfectly and Gibbs had suspected nothing from Lisa or Abby.  Tony had gotten a headslap or three for "making eyes at the consultant," and Ziva had accused him of having cats in his belfry at one point (Abby was fairly certain she meant bats), but overall it had gone well.  Tim ( Read more... )

Now this? This was fun. It was the sort of thing Lisa rarely did in Princeton but had done plenty of times prior, when medical school was a not so distant memory and other things were less than pleasant. But now it was different, and being in Abby and Tony's world, seeing what they did on a daily basis? It was a good, vibrant change and she liked it ( ... )

Tony wasn't actually sure that being sandwiched in a booth between Ziva and Lisa was the healthiest place to be, but at the same time was he ever enjoying it. He held up his Vodka Martini (shaken, not stirred, of course) and raised an eyebrow at Abby. "How about just to us, and having a Friday night off?"

"Don't say that, Tony," Tim said with a shake of his head. He coughed softly and took another sip of his drink. Abby was certainly being a little more...friendly than normal. Not that he was going to precisely complain. "If you say that, you'll jinx us and Gibbs will call us back in with new information." That was how it always happened, of course.

"When was the last time we had a Friday night off?" Abby asked, considering whether to move away from McGee and deciding against it. The booth just wasn't that big.

"It was precisely three months ago," Ziva supplied, sipping her ale.

"Right. And let's not even talk about Saturday nights."
