:: laugh :: I copied the title from Wikipedia because I don't have Hebrew supported on here, so it's (for a change) not my fault ^_-

EDIT: Actually, it DOES seem to be "עיניים פקוחות" ... see the movie poster.

Heheh, but I don't need to change it; see my edit -- what I wrote earlier, "עיניים פקוחות", IS correct. I was confused too, but according to Milon Morfix פָּקוּחַ refers to "watchful/open" eyes.

Who knew?

Is it good? Worthwhile outside of my mere "interest" in ultra-Orthodox men kissing? I have wanted to see it for some time; I suspect the cublet will want to as well.

It was quite sad, as you would expect given the background.

I now look forward to seeing it.

Another friend wants to us to see a Chinese documentary on queer culture in China. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Looks interesting. But there are more gay hasids then you think. Most of them are like me. Married but closeted.

What made you sad?

Reply

The idea of being married and closeted. That religions (including my own)* and society force people into living lives that are counter to their natures due to some archaic views of what's "acceptible".

*At least by birth and upbringing - I've pretty much abandoned it in practice.
