score! can't say i have ever been accused of any of this stuff.

this is a great list, by the way. curious to know how often it gets updated, though.

Usually after each failed relationship. ;-)

I go, "Huh...these things that I thought wouldn't be problems turned out to be problems. Won't make that mistake again."

Every item on that list can be directly linked to an ex of mine.

i'm sorry to know you've had to deal with any of this bullshit before. but hey, standards don't just come from nowhere, do they? it makes me happy that you know what you want (and don't want). so many people take shorts just because they're desperate, lonely, or don't think they can do any better.

I think that's a great point.

I didn't start dating ever until four years ago, and my first relationship lasted a year and a half. Most of that stuff is stuff I've learned recently.

It's also probably why I'm single right now.

This hints at some inflexibility. Now I am all for setting boundaries and not budging on things that seriously impact your own well being within a relationship. However, what about judging each individual and situation on it's own merits for that time? All things change and humans tend to do human things.

Note: I have a hard aversion to absolutes.

That all being said I agree with all but one of the issues you've cited.

I fail to see how any of those things could not seriously impact my own well being within a relationship ( ... )

Dang, I was afraid my meaning would not come across well in this medium. I'll chock it up to my poor writing skills.

As I said in my second comment I completely agree with all but one of your reasons. The one being central to my view point of poly relationships. I'm of the opinion that you can love more than one person. However that is not my question so set it aside please.

No need to justify any of your points as they are all valid reasons to dump a chump.

hmm OK I suck at trying to form the question differently at the moment. I'll revisit when my brain is a bit more capable.
