Signs fandom has ruined me for life #415875333:

An item pops up on my BBC News news feed. Cruise halted in Channel by blaze. My first thought, honest to god: "What is Tom Cruise doing in the middle of the English Channel, I thought he was in Florida?" Follow-up thought: "At least they got the blaze part right."

I was capping the pilot of The Read more... )

I meant finally as in "the final item of the post".

I feel you on the marathon session. A couple of weeks ago I stayed up for over 24 hours for no reason whatsoever. Of course, that screwed up my schedule rather than fixing it, so at least you're way ahead of me there.

Ah. see me and my lack of sleep.

And, obviously, I'm writing office fic. Since the only time I write anything is when I'm sleep deprived. Because if I'm not then I spend the entire time redoing the first sentence.

You're writing fic? Awesome! I read the recs you linked. Turns out I'd read three of them (and I'd even feedbacked one of them), but the other two were new, and I really liked them.

ROFLLLLLL OMG thank god it's not just me! I saw pictures of Tom and Katie from the MI3 premiere and I was like, 'wow, they let Katie leave the Center!' No lie, that is the first thing I thought.

The line between reality and fandom is blurring much too quickly for me.

I think the fact that I subverted the idea of a cruise ship in the middle of the English Channel (and I even made that connection immediately even though it only said "Channel") means that I'm frelled beyond repair.

Did you see the promo? Somehow Jim/Jan totally works for me. *g*

Nice theory on the merging of the branches once Jim leaves. I think they would take that from the UK version, because they have to do something major with the Jim/Pam relationship. However, I don't necessarily like the idea of new characters, because I really love the ones we have. A foil for Michael like in the UK version would be brilliant, though.

Man, I love this show. I'm trying to think about it because VM is eating my brain, and I fear I won't have any grey matter left on Tuesday.

I did not see the promo. Is it available somewhere? I did see the cap in lapses' journal, though. Jim pretty...

I'm thinking that if they do bring in new characters there will only be a couple that play prominent roles, the rest will be relegated to the background.

I've been trying to think rationally about bus crash suspects, but I'm now stuck on this refrain of "Kendall did it, Kendall did it", and I can't theorize at all about someone else being the culprit. It's very not good.

Oh no! I replied to your earlier post about an hour ago with a link to the promo:

Oh. I haven't been checking my e-mail today so I haven't gotten any comment notifications.

I'll check it out tomorrow, right now I'm Whoing it and then I'll probably fall into a coma (no babies, though!).

I find this extremely comforting, seeing as my train of thought was tragically identical when I first glanced at your post and saw the link. I guess this means I'm ruined for life, too.

I think we're all pretty much moved past ever being fit for public consumption. ;-)

OMG. I loved your spec regarding the offices coming together. The more I turned it over in my head, the more I loved it ( ... )
