OhmiGOD, that continuity is unbelievable!! How is this show SO GOOD?? I cannot even.

And I think the merger idea is *brilliant* and makes a lot of sense. And Jim being promoted over Dwight would be an interesting inversion of Tim giving up the job to Gareth.

I'm kind of fascinated by Jim/Jan, too. Maybe she has a kink for men under her in the company. ;)

And oops, forgot to add that if Jim did return as someone who was technically higher up than Pam, that could be an interestingly different way to delay a relationship between them -- especially if the documentary had been aired, and Jan had gotten in trouble (even fired?) for the Michael thing.
