the heat is finally here to stay. we walked around after dinner and swung on the tire swing we'd been meaning to swing on for months. it hurt my butt too much, so i pushed him. a black and white cat with a shaved belly came to play with us. when we were walking back, we had to run so she wouldn't fallow us home.

i took my camera to a repair shop on sandy. it will be the first maintenance in over 30 years. apparently, if anything is broken, they won't be able to replace it since it's so damn old. hopefully that won't be the case, and i'll be developing more in time. i haven't been taking many pictures and i'm starting to feel it missing from my life ( Read more... )

last night it was at least 90 degrees in my room with the windows wide open. i couldn't sleep until it cooled down, so i slept in until one. i went an entire day without a cigarette, willingly. i can't smoke when it's this hot outside. last night tables kept asking me if i was enjoying the heat and i could only reply with "i moved from california ( Read more... )

today i went to the market and bought cream soda and berries. i rode my bike to irving park, which lucky for me is only 6 blocks from my front door. i sat in the sun and started "pride and prejudice" for the first time. today was also the first real day of my eight day vacation. since i can't afford a trip to another strange city, i'll consider ( Read more... )
