8:00A.M. - Next morning.

"Excuse me Ms.," I said to the woman walking by. "If you could spare a moment to help me I would be most grateful."

She stopped. "What is it dear?"

"Follow me?" I said more then asked as I turned and went into the alley behind me.

Nevertheless she followed.

Pinning her into a wall I fed. The blood flowing into my mouth made me completely unaware of everything around me. All that mattered at the moment was me and this woman.

Suddenly someone pulled my hair causing me to fall backwards away from the dying woman.

I don’t think I even had the time to cry out before I felt the cold bite of metal against my throat.

"You'd do well to keep to your own lands young one," the man creature standing above me growled.

"Who are y-you?" I spat out trying to avoid the blade at my throat as much as possible. Its razor sharp edge was leaving a burning feeling against my flesh. Was that even possible? A burning blade?

"My name is Jonathan and you are to leave here immediately."

"I'm not going-" The blade cut through my neck before I could finish the sentence.

The creature left me there to bleed. Eventually I passed out thinking I was going to die.

I awoke to immense pain in a house I had never seen before.

"Migé," someone was saying not to far away. "Migé, he's awake."

I groaned and shut my eyes against the invading candle light that flickered close by.

Another man walked over and stood over me.

I opened my eyes again.

"We found you bleeding out. Just relax and don't try to talk," the blond haired one said. "My names Linde and this is Migé.

"Did someone attack you?" the other man, Migé, asked.

"Obviously he didn’t get a wound on his neck that bad by himself," Linde replied.

"My n-neck?" I managed to choke out.

"Shh, try not to talk," Migé said softly.

Suddenly the events of the other night, or was it earlier? Anyway they came flooding back. This vampire named-

"Jonathan!" I ended up shouting as I sat straight up in bed. The dream was a memory I remembered all too well.

Bam jumped awake. "What the-"

I leapt out of bed and started pacing.

"Ville what is wrong?" he mumbled relaxing again into a drowsy state.

"That creature....this place...FUCK! How come I didn’t see it before?" I asked myself.

"Ville," Bam repeated. "You aren’t making any sense. What is wrong?"

Without stopping my pacing I told him about the time I had my throat slit.

"So that is how you know Linde and Migé?" He wasn’t getting what I was trying to say, I couldn’t blame him I wasn’t exactly being clear.

"No, well yes but that isn’t what I am trying to get at." I stopped my movement and faced him. "This creature stalking me now is Jonathan. And he is either very forgetful or he is playing with me."

"That weird sensation we felt last night?"

"Yes, it's his presence. I was wrong about his age. He's really older then I am. Which means it’s not safe here. You have to leave for now. Yes, you, your family, and your friends must go to Helsinki."

"But why exactly?"

"This creature is strong, possibly stronger then I am. You must tell them you are all going on vacation while I deal with Jonathan. Helsinki is the safest place I know of."

He sat up. "But..."

I ran my fingers through my hair before lighting a cigarette. I was shaking so bad it was hard to light the damn thing. I was nervous but not just for my own safety, for Bam and his family as well.

"Jesus, Valo," he said, concern in his voice. He got up and rushed across the room to me. "You are really worked up." He pulled me into his arms and held me.

I pulled the cigarette from my lips and rested my head on his shoulder. "Please Bam. I don’t want him hurting you." My voice was soft, almost too quiet to hear.

"Alright," he replied, "where are we staying in Finland?"

"With Jussi and Jyrki."

Bam frowned a bit. "Why Jyrki? He doesn’t exactly like me too much."

"Jyrki doesn’t like any humans ever since one broke his heart long before I was even born. He doesn’t like to talk about it."

"He told you this though?"

"No, Jussi told me. Jyrki is actually quite nice." I took a drag from the cigarette before removing it again from my lips.

"How old are they?"

"A hundred years older then me. The whole band is. They were all best friends even before they became vampires."

"We'll leave tonight, promise."

"No Bam you must leave as soon as possible. I'll talk to Jyrki, he'll listen to me."

He kissed me passionately and looked into my eyes. "It'll be okay Ville."

I smiled weakly and nodded.

He left the room and moments later I heard him shout as loud as he could: "Yo asswipes wake the fuck up."

'Call me when you are on your way,' I said into Bam's mind. 'Or maybe I should stay.'

'Phil is calling in for plane tickets right now. Don't worry Ville we'll be fine. Go talk to Jyrki,' he replied back the same way.

'Are you sure?'

'Yes Ville, I love you.'

I smiled. 'I love you too.' I willed myself to Jyrki's knowing he was probably asleep.

"Shit Ville," Timo-Timo said from where he was sitting on the couch. "You just made me miss the ending."

"Watch it another time. I need to find Jyrki," I said.

The annoyance on his face dissipated into concern. "What's going on?"

"Jonathan is back and I need protection for some friends of mine," I replied.

Timo-Timo pointed up stairs. "He's sleeping. Jussi is at Archzie's house. And I haven’t a clue where Bazie is."

"I'm waking Jyrki up."

Timo-Timo nodded. "Although you should let a sleeping vampire lay."

"Thank you," I replied before running up the stairs.

Jyrki didn’t like being woken up but that was just a risk I was going to have to take.
