We were so tired that I neglected to record that last Thursday the first completed bookcase got put into position. After we removed the clamps my beloved anisoptera filled some nail holes and painted. Then life insisted we spend energy elsewhere but by Thursday we installed it. A few days after Ratatosk was seen sitting in the feeder I did remount it higher up the window. The wise had suggested changing the kind of seed to something less appealing but since that might also change the kinds of birds that come to visit I am saving that for a last resort. At long last with the aid of glue, a number of bar clamps, more bar clamps, some bow clamps, a pocket hole kit, and a nail gun which was lent to us by a wonderful friend we have attached a face frame to one of the bookcases. Ratatosk AKA Squirrel Nutkin has discovered one of the wee window feeders. I entered the room a few minutes ago and there he was under its roof, sitting on one bin and chowing down from the other.
