There are times when the simplest of tasks can become an ordeal. This morning I was sitting at work clearing my desk and cleaning out the bag I carry everyday, tossing old papers, mail and junk. My mom’s surgery went well last Friday. This Tuesday, she was transferred from the hospital to the physical therapy rehab unit. She’s recovering well physically but is a little depressed and a bit loopy on the narcotics for pain. Irritable too, but I guess that’s to be expected or it is for her after major surgery. One day at work recently, my boss was showing me his latest cello purchase. A beautiful instrument and as the music discussion continued my boss asked me, "Do you know what youtube is?" I kept a straight face and replied, "I do believe I have heard of it." He went on about a musical performance he had seen and wanted me to look it up and watch it. ( Read more... )

Last night was the last session for the dyslexic tutoring program. It was 3-1/2 hours every Monday night for thirteen weeks. Every week I had more staff training in addition to the three initial workshops prior to the program’s start.
