I’m so behind on updating, it’s overwhelming to know where to begin. So to get back into the swing of posting, I think I’ll start choosing one topic at a time to write about until I’ve got everyone caught up on what’s been happening. I’ll start with what’s been happening at work.

Tylenol makes a severe cold and flu formula of their cold-pill things, if you can take it with all your other stuff. I use that when I've even just got a regular cold because it's amazing in the symptom relief-y-ness.

I'm taking the generic equivalent of that one, for severe congestion. It's always worked well for me and I have managed to get some rest/relief despite all the productive coughing. Ugh, not the kind of productive I had hoped for this weekend.

I recently went through all the Infinitus pics and definitely have to get those uploaded and make that post soon. It really was a fun trip.

It was herniated discs in my lower back causing the pinched sciatic nerve. Physical therapy helped and I'm still doing pool therapy exercises on my own to keep the muscles strengthened around those discs. The issue the last two months has been pain/inflammation in my upper back/neck/shoulders. It may be a fibromyalgia flare-up and/or related to the daily headaches. I'm seeing the neurologist this week and determined to get some answers/help.

Hi Sherry! Glad to hear your job is safe once again. That would've been a huge bummer.

Take care of yourself!

I'm glad and relieved my job is secure for now. It's taken one load off my mind.

I've dealt with this chest cold all weekend and will probably go to the doctor on Monday. I can't take this incessant coughing any longer.

Hope you feel better soon! I'm glad you didn't end up laid off. In my new job I meet so many people in businesses that are struggling or even going under. It's always nice to see one that's at least holding their own, you know

Thanks, Patt. The job climate is indeed rough all over and this was the roughest time our business has had in recent times. The engineering company was started in 1925 by my boss' grandfather. My son was laid off in June but fortunately found another job, an even better one, although it requires him to travel out-of-state. There just isn't that many great opportunities locally. So for now, we're both blessed with good jobs and thankful for it after the cutbacks we experienced.

I've been a bad up-dater too. Glad to know I'm in good company. :)

Yay for work improving, boo for back and crud. If I lived closer, I would make you chicken soup with rice. That always works.

:) *hugs*

We'll just have to poke each other about updating. Your homemade soup sounds much better than the canned stuff I had this weekend. Living closer would be nice, wouldn't it? :)
