I have like 35k of the twins done but lots of holes. Its plot-wise roughly half the book with 15k of the plot missing. Having a slight problem with feeling I skipped these scenes out of gut instinct for good cause and yet the story seems to need them ... maybe.
Sometime soon I need to go back and polish the Christmas story. -

After lots of serious pushing, got the book out the door. Pant, pant, pant.
Emailed Toni and asked "What's next?" She wants Tinker 4 next. Mixed feelings about that. Love the twins but kind of wanted to do Thomas. Oh well. Love the twins.
Packing today and trying to get sleep back onto schedule for trip to Pittsburgh.

So step one of getting back to diet was to clear my desk area of food. Done.
Step two was to go out and buy healthy food. Done.
Step three is not to eat too much....
Step three seems impossible. Too big. Hmmm. Need to rethink Step Three.
Maybe I need a "eat THIS amount." -

So today I decided it was time I go back to trying to lose weight. It was a host of bad habits I've developed and my weight been creeping back up. I'm attempting to make friends with my scale again and put a notebook in the bathroom to record daily weight. I have as a plan of action of embracing a love of healthy food so that I don't feel bad ( Read more... ) -

As my recent rant suggested, I think its the writer's responsibility even in traditional publishing to think of "editing" as their job. And yes, that means looking at the big picture of the story now that it is done, look at what was written and make that story the best it can be ( Read more... ) -

You would think it would get easier
Sent off the mistakes I found on the typeset copy of ELFHOME to Baen today. It took most of the day to type them up so they'd be easy to find and clear how I wanted things fixed for the things that weren't missing italics or capitalization and such. Had drumming, so I showered and dashed out the door. Came back home dog tired. I decided instead ( Read more... )
