WOOH! The work week is over! I'm excited because I made a ton of money in five days, and I'm feeling rather impressed with myself. Amy, I love your writing. This is why you got an A on your England journal, and I got an A-. Also: you'll have to post pics of the scrapbook for me. Er, well that kind of defeats the purpose of a scrapbook, huh? ;)

As for the marriage thing, I, for one, am still rather opposed to gay marriage, and I'll tell you why. People forget that marriage is a religious institution. And according to the Bible, homosexuality is a sin, etc etc. So in that respect, I don't agree with gay "marriage" in the institutional sense. Civil unions, however, or whatever the hell else they would want to call it - so long as they still got all the same benefits and such - I'd be all for. I just think people are confusing what marriage actually is. I mean, it's kind of a joke in our society nowadays anyway, what with "starter marriages" and no one even making it past the ten year mark anymore. But I still think there's some sanctity to it. Or something! And that's my two cents. :)

yeah, i understand your point, and it is easy to argue such a point. BUT, civil unions are not universal in every state (aka stupid colorado that hardly has such an institution for gay couples cause we're run by republicans), and some more liberal religions are in support of gay marriage while other religions consider marriage actually a secular ceremony ( ... )

I think you win this one simply for using the word "anthropologically." There's no way I can compete with that. :)
