Just got off work, had a text from my sister. My grandmother passed away. They just let Mamaw go home from the convalescence home after 6 weeks yesterday afternoon. She evidently died around 8pm last night.

Yes the wonderful shopping season is upon us all. I almost hate x-mas entirely now (insert grinch theme music here). Not only do I have the honor of again working Black Friday, My store is going to be open from 8AM til 9PM on Thanksgiving Day (last year they closed at 6). How to feel old, Shopping Therapy, and Did they even read the book!!!
My oldest daughter has seen fit to make me feel *incredibly old* by getting her learner's permit yesterday. Oi!
I honestly think that that has much to do with my *Week of Indiscriminate Spending*, as retail therapy is never a cure, but it does work as a soothing balm for a short while.

I am so very excited! TCM(Turner Classic Movies) is having a Hammer Horror Festival every Friday night in October. They are kicking it off with a quartet of Dracula movies this Friday night.! I love Hammer Horror to an unholy degree! I just wish I had a DVR (at least I have been getting Saturdays off!). Anyway here is what is showing this week!!!

Traded my off days this week, so I have to work tomorrow, and am off Thursday. Finally a day free from retailhell!
Finally a day that is not 90 degrees or higher. This summer has been the hottest on record for Louie-ville, with 74(and still counting) days over 90. Not good for an ice-flower such as myself.
