What is This Feeling? | Perfect | Every Little Trait, However Small | Special Delivery | Friday Night Dinner | Intimidation | Saturday | Shoes, Hair and Spoons... Oh My! | Frozen Reflections | Relocation | Lost Boy

It's like something from one of the paintings in the Central City Museum: the setting suns reflecting off the lake bathed everything in a golden-orange. The mountains were a purple and the grasses and wildflowers surrounding them were sharing this moment of absolute perfection.

They were naked and she was in his lap, the small of her back pressed against his navel. His hands were resting on her hips, holding her tight, yet no pressure was being exerted from his fingertips.

She had no intention of going anywhere; he wasn't sure how he knew, but he did.

She was his.

~*~

One hand reached up to brush her curly hair away, giving him free range to press light kisses along her spine and shoulder blades. He doubted it was possible for the two of them to be any closer; they fit together perfectly, as if they were made for each other.

His free hand moved back to her waist, but instead of stopping there, he reached around her, lightly tracing the edge of her ribcage and causing her breath to catch. She caught his hand and pulled it up to hold it tight against her chest.

He could feel her heartbeat.

~*~

Her breathing was beginning to speed up, as was his. Her whole body was getting tingly and she had to close her eyes when the landscape surrounding them started to go fuzzy. Biting her lip, she fell back against his chest and took a few deep breaths, a content hum slipping out.

He pressed his lips to her neck and waited for his own heartbeat to stop racing. Her hands moved down to his waist and she smiled for a moment, eyes still shut.

"I love you, Wyatt," she breathed.

"I know," he smiled, lips still pressed to her neck.

~*~

Opening her eyes, Adora turned back to give him a raised eyebrow. Wyatt simply grinned and raised his eyebrows quickly. She tried to look angry with him, but couldn't. Not with those eyes staring back.

Turning a bit more, her arms went around his neck and his hands moved up her sides as their lips met.

"Wyatt? ...Hey!" Wyatt blinked and looked up to Porter, who was holding out a hand.

"What?"

"We gonna run?"

"Uh, yeah..." Wyatt stammered and pushed himself up from the ground and glanced across the field again, where Adora was doing her own pre-run stretches.
