Jeb entered the tavern from the back door and nodded to Ted as he reached the bar. Ted looked his way and threw a glance toward DG, who was wiping down a table in the corner as he stepped over and nodded.
"Roads opened yesterday, I hear," he informed Jeb.
"I heard," Jeb nodded. Ted gave another look to DG and eyed Jeb again.
"You'll be leavin' us, then? Back to the family?" They needed to get back to the safety of the palace, for DG's sake. And Jeb needed to find his father.
"We'll see..."
