Winter is here. It snowed a whole bunch last night, and the roads are treacherous today. I miss my old AWD Subaru (which is still sitting in my garage, dead). I am now officially carless. The Subaru quit running last week, and today the shop called and let me know that it would cost $1300 to fix. So it's time to let go. Thankfully, it's almost summer. I just need to get my bike tuned up and put on a rear fender to protect my butt from mud puddles. And I'll keep my eye open for decent, cheap clunkers ( Read more... )

Let me just get this sickening part out of the way: MY DOG IS SO CUTE AND SMART. When she rides with me in the car, she likes to stand on the passenger seat with her front paws up on the center console. The starter on my car has completely stopped working. My roommate and I attempted to give it a jump this morning, but that didn't work (as we suspected), so I guess we'll try to tow it to the shop tomorrow, hopefully.
