It's been blizzarding ALL DAY LONG. This is ridiculous. It's the middle of April!
Not only that, but my car decided to break down today. Soooo...it's now in the shop. That'll be at least another $600 down the drain.
I managed to finish the rough draft for my composition (music theory final). I took a melody that I'd already written and created a four-part texture for it: oboe, flute, clarinet, and bassoon. There are people who play all of those in my class, and they're all great musicians, so I look forward to hearing it played at the end of the semester! Anyway, this is just a rough draft that's due tomorrow, and I have a feeling that my professor will tell me it's too short (it's only sixteen bars). I may have to come up with some new, original stuff. Scary. I've had a major creative block for several years. I think of myself more as a performer/teacher type.
