I started cooking for Thanksgiving last night. Two things prompted this. First,I'm tired of making sweet potato at the last minute. Every year, the sweet potatoes get cooked right before the meal and I'm juggling hot rocks trying to peel them and mash them. I cooked them last night and left them to cool overnight. Made it to Vegas largely without incident. Would have preferred if our seat mate had been a bit more chatty, or chatty at all, but I guess that's better than wishing he'd just shut up.

Spent the day in the house.
