Today I decided to try some new things in Vegas. I'd never been to either the Palms or the Wynn/Encore so I hit both of them on my way back from lunch with my great aunt. There isn't any reason I'd go back to the Palms. There isn't any reason I wouldn't, but the inertia of the strip is stronger than pull of a casino that didn't really intrigue. ( Read more... )

First and foremost, traveling with two invalids produces problems one doesn't normally think of. My parents explored Las Vegas in electric scooters. I did it on foot. They're little Energizer bunnies. My feet nearly fell off.
