Wednesday a vet will be coming here to help Shelby cross The Rainbow Bridge.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in November.  However, we don't feel it is the cancer that took her, but the loss of our beloved Jack back in May.  She was never quite the same after he left...

The title is in quotation marks because it is a label.  It is a label that in my opinion shows your ignorance as much as any racial/ethnic/religious/sexual-orientation slur.  There is NO such thing as an "unadoptable" domesticated animal.

There are several reasons why I am almost militant about this subject.

I have seen many male cats tossed onto the streets or thrown into pounds/shelters because they spray.  Hello?  Neutering your male cat around the time he is 5 months old will prevent this problem.  I almost came unglued on some moron at the vets when they took the cat to be ( Read more... )

 Last night my husband and I watched Marley & Me.  Frankly, the movie sucked...from what I understand, the book is better.  In any case, as if it's any big secret, the dog dies at the end.  We cried.  He was a BAD Dawg....but at the end not so much and it always is Horrible to lose your dog so there was crying...some of it because we endured 1 hour ( Read more... )

When we bought our house 10 ½ years ago, it had light carpet in the hallway and living room.  We knew it was going to be an Issue, as we have a large number of pets and pets and light carpets really don’t mix.  We were right.
