So Rodney the mouse finally kicked the bucket  :(  She was old (18 months is a respectable old age for a mouse) , fat, and riddled with tumors, but seemed to be in good spirits nonetheless. I went to feed the mice tonight and noticed her missing; found that the other two had buried her body neatly in a corner of the cage. She must've died sometime ( Read more... )

Mice are so funny. They got one peanut (whole, in the shell) in their bowl tonight. Zelly and Ronon are fighting over it. Zelly's got it, but whenever she starts to sit down and tear into it Ronon comes up and tries to take it away. I started feeding my rats a new homemade mixy thing with dog food (high quality, of course), cheerios, pasta, sunflower seeds, and unpopped popcorn (not the instant kind). I'm bored, so I will type about fish. I'm slooowly losing tetras. As you know (if you've been paying attention) I have two fishy tanks- an itsy-bitsy one for Dalek, my betta, and a 10-gallon one. Dude, I just adopted the craziest mouse ever. Her name is Ford (in keeping with the SGA men as girl mice theme). So, I've seen mice hang on while other mice run on a wheel and get flipped around.
