I recently saw the Clone Wars movie and was fairly non-plussed. I wasn't dissapointed so much, just very very indifferent. I realised half way through that it's not a film for me. It's a kids film. WotC have just posted new screenies of their Character Visualizer - the MOG-style app that allows you to create a 3D virtual miniature to use on the virtual tabletop and dear lord is it poor. Poor models with poor textures and some half-arsed shader effects. There's no lighting to speak of and the figures are lost against the densely detailed ( Read more... )

I forgot to mention that in last night's D&D session I finally put my Dragonborn flame breath to good use. Faced by a group of six zombie mooks (or minions as D&D will have it), I vaporised four of them with my flame breath and then stepped up to the fifth and virtually wiped him out with a holy strike.
