D&Di Character Visualizer - MY EYES!!!
WotC have just posted new screenies of their Character Visualizer - the MOG-style app that allows you to create a 3D virtual miniature to use on the virtual tabletop and dear lord is it poor. Poor models with poor textures and some half-arsed shader effects. There's no lighting to speak of and the figures are lost against the densely detailed backdrops.
This is not a professional commercial product. This looks like a bunch of monkeys on the intertron got together after school with Poser and Dark Basic.
And they're going to charge $15 dollars a month for this?
I really, really want to know who's developing this for WotC. I wonder if it's the same wideboys behind Limbo of the Lost...
