I honestly wish America was in a war I thought was worth fighting. A WW2 with a clear enemy and a clear objective. People banding together to fight for freedom from opressison. Something like that would be worth enlisting for.

Clerks 2 sucks because it's a complete remake of Clerks. Jay and Silent Bob sit around, Dante is torn between two women, and Randall is a smartass. Same plot same movie, blah blah. I should hate it. Children of Men is the best film I have seen since The Departed. It is, culturally, the most important film I have seen in a very long time and it is technically and aesthetically brilliant in its ability to complexly display documentary realism in a way that is painstakingly challenging and yet is portrayed as film in it's most simplistic form ( Read more... )

So I watched Scent of a Woman for the first time today. The film as a whole was just ok. It fell into the same early nineties melodramas such as White Squall, Dead Poets Society, ect.
