Had a lovely lunch today with marenfic, which involved Mexican food, much laughter and gossip, and half a venti dulce de leche tea being spilled on my laptop. Oops. We cleaned it up, but when I got home tonight I discovered that the keyboard appears to be fried -- most of the keys don't work, and typing results in gibberish. It has been, as they say, A Day.

I bought a laptop! It's a Toshiba Satellite with a 15.4" screen and 80GB hard drive and fancy DVD burner and all sorts of other stuff. As with all new machines, it'll take some getting used to, but I'm liking it so far. ( More on bargaining with confused sales clerks. )
